The SI Panther Packs program is dedicated to providing weekend meals for children in the South Iron community who may not have enough food at home. Each Friday, participating children receive a bag of non-perishable, kid-friendly food that includes two breakfast, lunch, supper, and snack items to cover the weekend. For the past nine years, Panther Packs has been helping over 60 kids each week, providing more than 17,600 packs and over 140,000 meal items. The program relies entirely on donations from individuals and organizations, with weekly food costs around $4 per child, totaling approximately $7,500 annually.

Each year, our church comes together to create Thanksgiving baskets for families in need within our community. These baskets are filled with food, essentials, and special treats to ensure that everyone can enjoy a warm, joyful holiday. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share God’s love and compassion, providing tangible support to those who may be struggling during the season. By partnering together, we make a lasting impact, showing kindness and generosity to our neighbors in a meaningful way.

The Men on Mission and WMU team regularly visit Valley Springs Youth Ranch in Black, MO, to serve the staff and residents. During these visits, they provide a meal, along with a song service and a message delivered by Bro. Dan. These visits, which occur around Easter and Christmas, offer encouragement and support to the youth and staff, sharing the love and hope of Christ through fellowship, music, and the Word. Several members from RCBA churches have developed weekly Bible studies at the Youth Ranch using the Replicate Discipleship curriculum, providing ongoing opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship among the youth.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. This whole process is made possible by caring individuals who pack shoeboxes full of quality gifts for children in need. Many of these shoebox packers also use our Follow Your Box feature to discover the country where their gift will be delivered.
